Who's driving the company?
Mike Gordon is a seasoned food marketing strategist and communications expert with nearly 40 years of food marketing experience. His expertise in the field has allowed him to create marketing solutions for clients on both a local and national level.
Mike's foodservice background began at Munford Inc., a convenience store chain, where he was Director of Corporate Planning. Following, he served as Marketing Director of several large foodservice companies including Edwards Baking Company, Swift and Company, and Booth Fisheries. He was the Vice President and Director of the foodservice group of Campbell Mithun, Inc., a Saatchi & Saatchi company before forming Gordon Hanrahan in 1987 along with Mary Ellen Hanrahan.
As an advertising executive, Mike has been responsible for the development of promotional programs, marketing plans, advertising campaigns, aggressive and successful go-to-market programs and new product introductions for some of the largest brands and associations in the food industry, including: Carlisle Foodservice Products, Cryovac Packaging, Unilever, Armour-Eckrich, Georgia Pacific, John Morrell Meats, Montfort Beef, Swift Pork Products, Johnsonville Sausage, Quaker Oats, Land O' Lakes, Kraft, Keebler, American Dairy Association, National Pork Producers, American Egg Board and the USA Rice Federation.
Mike earned his undergraduate degree in Finance and completed his MBA in Marketing. He has taught both advertising, promotion, and marketing at the college level. He has been a guest speaker at several new products conferences, sales meetings and American Management Association seminars. Mike is listed in Who's Who in U.S. Executives. He is an active member of the International Foodservice Manufacturers Association and the International Association of Culinary Professionals, Research Chef Association and the Institute of Food Technologists.
